A continuation of my Asia vacation with my sister. Last stop was Hong Kong!
Oct 9 ▬
I’m on an airplane again for the third day in a row. This time we were flying to Hong Kong! The flight was alright. I finished watching Ant Man and just slept.
Once we landed, I got the wifi egg before taking the bus shuttle to our hotel in Causeway Bay. We were staying at the MetroPark hotel and for the price we paid, it was pretty nice. The room was a little small but I was already expecting that so it was alright. After checking in and dropping off our stuff, we went out and explored a bit as we searched for a place for dinner.

We went to Disneyland today! It’s always been a goal of mine to visit all the Disneylands in the world and this was the first step! Granted, Disneyland HK was pretty small but whatevers.
Got there a little after it opened so there weren’t that many people there yet. Actually, I have never seen such an empty park before. Most of the rides had a 5-10 minute wait max. We actually ended up doing everything in a few hours lol. My sister though, wanted to watch the fireworks later that night so we ended up having 5-6 hours to kill in the park. We shopped, ate, and re-rode the rides we liked. It started raining for an hour or two at night which sucked since we didn’t bring our umbrellas. Thankfully, it stopped an hour before the fireworks show so it was alright.

We went to the Hello Kitty dimsum restaurant today! It was pretty nice~ Except the menu. It was all in Chinese and I had to attempt to translate the menu on our way there. It worked out in the end though ٩(๑❛ワ❛๑)و
After brunch, we headed to Sense cafe for another potted plant dessert. Honestly, we were super stuffed already but my sister saw this place in one of bubzbeauty’s vlogs and I wanted to go since it would, uh, make for good pictures ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و
The cafe was only three blocks away and since we were in the area already, we might as well right?
After filling our tummies, we shopped like crazy in Causeway Bay. ヾ(o≧∀≦o)ﾉﾞI hope the amount of sheet masks I got is enough to last me until next year~
Grabbed dinner at this ramen place. It was pretty good!
Spent the rest of the night packing since we were checking out the next morning. It felt like we didn’t really spend that much time in Hong Kong…

Had to find a box since we bought a lot of snacks as souvenirs for people and it wouldn’t fit in our suitcases. After that, we checked out and went to grab breakfast at Mcdonalds. Then began the hunt for sour mentos. We went to five different Circle Ks and cleaned them all out of the sour mentos lol. Pretty sure we bought over 20 packs…
Around lunchtime, we went to meet up with one of my friends for lunch. She brought us to Victoria Harbor for a little sightseeing before she had to go back to class. My sister and I went and chilled at a Charlie Brown cafe for a short while before meeting up with another one of my friends for dinner.
Dinner went well. It’s always nice to catch up with old friends. She was a classmate of mine when we were both studying in Seoul two years ago. We weren’t really that close before so it was fun getting to know each other better this time.
Our flight was at midnight so we headed to the airport around 9PM. After a few moments after getting on the bus, I regretted not taking a taxi since I got motion sickness and felt like puking. It was horrible. Thankfully, we got to the airport without me releasing my insides.
Chilled at our gate for an hour or two waiting to board. I swear, there is something in the air at HKG because every time I’m at that airport, I feel nauseous and sick. I felt sick again as we were waiting to board and just couldn’t wait to get home. Sadly this was a flight back to Seoul and after that, there was going to be a 12 hour layover before our 10 hr flight back home.

Landed in Seoul at 5:30am. The two of us were exhausted so we decided not to leave the airport. We chilled/slept for about two hours at our gate before I got fed up with the uncomfortableness. We went and booked a room at the airport transit hotel for six hours and just knocked out in the comfy bed. (Transit hotels are actually a new thing I discovered recently on my last trip to Asia. I was looking for a place to nap in Singapore’s airport and came across transit hotels – where you can book a room to nap in on an hourly basis. At the time, I was traveling with a lot of carry on bags – my expensive camera gear being one of them – so I didn’t want to sleep out in public.)
The price wasn’t bad for two people and it was a legit hotel room with a bathroom so we were able to freshen up after our nap. We checked out and then went and got something to eat. While we were eating, I noticed there were a few girls downstairs (we were sitting at a table next to the window on the second floor) video recording something. I figured it must be vloggers so I didn’t pay them much mind. But then when I looked over again sometime later, they were still there except now there were more girls and I saw some of them had the “fansite” lens (it’s the canon f2.8 70-200mm lens) and it hit me that there must be idols downstairs. I knew it wasn’t my favorite idol group so I just stayed put and watched.
After eating, we went back to our gate and chilled for another hour before boarding. On the flight home, my sister and I had the row to ourselves. Half of the time, I ended up lying down and taking up two seats to sleep. It was as comfy as I was gonna get in economy. cries.
(Sorry for the lack of pictures. I got super tired and lazy after Shanghai and didn’t want to carry my heavy-ass camera everywhere anymore)
